This Week We Are Learning About Lowest Common Multiples
To find the Lowest Common Multiple of pairs of numbers
you have to find a number that is divisible by both numbers and it is the lowest number that they can go into.
Example:
The Lowest Common Multiple of 6 & 8 is 24 because 8 can be multiplied by 3 and you get a product of 24.
And 6 can be multiplied by 4 and you get a product of 24 as well.
When finding the Lowest Common Multiple of a number it doesn't mean to multiply the 2 numbers together. It means to find the lowest number that both the numbers go into.
Examples:
Lowest Common Multiple of 3 & 6
Lowest Common Multiple of 4 & 9
Lowest Common Multiple of 7 & 8
